I haven't posted in a really long time. I just woke up about three hours earlier than I normally do in a really wide awake state. The funny thing is I went to sleep at around 4am which is actually a little bit late even for me..my alarm isn't going to go off for another two hours or so. Whenever I wake up this way I want to call everyone I know and make sure everyone is still alive. I don't know if I'm naturally a pessimist but I just have to assume that something bad has happened when I wake up in this way. Then again it might just be the past experience that the last time I recall really snapping to wide awakeness someone had just been shot in my house and I had to tie a tourniquet.

I just got back from Rojir and Megan's house after a couple of good days of thinking and work and of course drinking on st patricks day. I've been feeling really different over the past couple of weeks to the point that I feel like a totally different person. I had a talk with my mother today and it was like I was talking to her for the first time in years and years. It's like I've really had the wool removed from my eyes. It seems like I've been talking like this a lot lately but it's really been a transformative period for me. It's really weird...

Anyway I'm looking forward to heading to work tomorrow and perhaps seeing someone that I want to talk to. It'd be really nice anyway my birthday plans kind of fell apart and it looks like I'm hanging out with Rojir again tonight.

Paypal banking and other nightmares

Okay so I ended up getting 600$ for my world of warcraft account instead of 500$ which makes me even happier than I already was about getting rid of it. I am however running into some problems getting money out of the paypal account I hooked up. It's not technical or anything that would be the logical guess.

To get the money out of my pay pal account I need to supply my banking information transit number and account number off a check. I'm intimitely familiar with the process from the time I used to work in billing overflow and AOL so no problems there. The problem that I am running into is that I've never written any checks from my bank account prefering to just use my card. I call the bank to get the account number as it would appear on a check since it's different that my member number. I give the woman on the phone my member number my pin my social security # (which used to be my member # until they realized that might have been a bad idea). The woman on the phone tells me she can't give out the account number as it would appear on the check since it is a SECURE piece of information....

Now tell me how can it be so secure if every time I wrote a fucking check I'd be giving it out...

::sigh::

So now I need to drive to one of the two branches of the bank to get the number in person so I can transfer the money in time to buy some things I want to get this weekend.

What a pain in the ass.

Well I woke up at 5am today and I've been busy since I woke up. I ran all around putting in applications at like 30 different places and actually managed to get a call back from home depot a couple hours after putting in the application. I have a interview tomorrow at 3pm. I'm still hoping that the guy from Danfoss calls me back but if they can't get back in contact me then I don't know if I really care that much anymore. I just want to be working again and home depot isn't bad while trying to find something else and going to school.

Oh yeah.. school I went to the college here and filled out all the admitance papers and am waiting on my pin number to come back from the financial aid webpage so I can start filling that out and see what the results are with that.

I've also managed to sell my World of Warcraft account today for the tune of 500$ I could have gotten more but I wanted to keep it in my guild and sold it to my friends there at a discount. I couldn't have built up the character to the level that he was out without them so it only seemed proper.

It's feels awesome to be making so much headway into changing my life in such a short period of time. I plan on staying to the course because it's something I need to do for myself. I've let too many things slip by in my life and I'm aiming to stop that. I just hope it isn't to late to salvage some things I am in danger of still losing. Things that I love with all my heart..

*cough* sorry to those that don't know what is going on but that's as close to getting into it that I really want to get in LJ land.

Anyway...

When I left my guild they posted a lot of stuff in the message boards I'll put some inside a cut.

Sylessa: Wow it really sucks to see such an awsome warrior go. I'll remember all thoughs Strat runs we did haha. Good luck in the real work hop you have fun.

Stephanos: t’s a sad sad day brother. I hate to see you go and man were losing a great warrior but first of all a great person. I fully understand how this game affects real life and honestly I think I need to reevaluate how this game has a hold of me. More power to you man for being able to establish your priorities. I'll see ya on the flip side and hopefully when the dust clears you can come back. But anyways /salute and /goodluck in what you need to accomplish in RL cya man.

Your neighborhood friendly rogue
Steph

Somnambulist: I figured after what had happened in the past few days things would either go one of two ways. I am sad to hear you're leaving. From one person who was here from day one to another of what I consider "the core" of Failure, this sucks.

With that said I wouldn't mind buying the account if we can work something out. Feel free to PM me and we can discuss it further.

I can't say this makes me happy at all...Sad You have made so many contributions to the guild since we've started raiding that its just a crushing loss to us to lose a friend and such a great player.

I understand that people need to do what is best for them however and I hope you keep checking in on the forums with us from time to time.

I also can't tell you how much I appreciate your honesty and willingness to sell your account to someone in the guild first. Its a mark of true character and class as well as the utmost respect for your friends.

I hope you can find the time to drop by the forums now and again. We'll miss you a lot!

Best wishes in your real life travels and godspeed wherever you fare.

-Somnambulist (Will)

Sencomjoe: Kevin (Arawnrua)

Hey man I just want to say you were an awsome warrior. I have alot of respect for you as a person then a warrior. I hope everything you are looking for IRL you get, YOU DESERVE IT. It's takes alot to step away from WoW(I hope I never have to completely walk away). You take care of yourself and the people around you. If you ever need anything at all you can always contact me on MSN . Computer suggestions or just need to talk.

again good luck and be safe
Sencomjoe
Joe

Lali: I don't even know how to start...
I'd like to say I'm really sorry you are going, but you know what? I am happy for you. Of course you will be missed greatly but man do what it is best for you, if life screws you over you screw her back again. I was on vent the other day when you came on and you were really upset about the gf stuff and all that and I felt really bad inside. I am extremly happy to see that you are a warrior and a fighter in real life too not only in wow.
I wish you to be happy, shape your future the way you want it and pursue a career thatt will be both satisfying and rewarding. Bend the union over and give them a spank Smile
Best of luck, and don't forget from time to time to come post on the forums let us know what is happening.
I hope you had patiente to read it all, it would have sounded better without this knot in my chest.
Takee care, good luck, it has been an honor.
Lali

Storac: Hey man, i understand.

You and I have been playing together for a LONG time now. So, I would be intrested in buying your account.

Im not sure what to say but, let me know if you need anything ill do what I can. You know how to reach me, so keep in touch. Thanks man it has been a really good time playing with you.

Keep your chin up brother, and ill see you when i see you

Beerguzzler: I wish you the best in all your future endeavors Ara. It's been a pleasure playing WOW with one of the best warriors in-game.

Don't be a stranger on vent or the boards.

It was kind of touching to read people saying such nice things now I know I might be getting a bit to emotional heh

Well besides a tiny shindig on my 21st birthday it's been 16 years since I've had a birthday party and I've resolved myself to the fact that if I want to make sure something get's done I've got to do it myself. I was thinking that since I'll be more than likely spending my actually birthday alone at home (monday march 20th FTL)I want to try and get some old friends together down in fells point.

Is there anyone that reads this that would be interested in coming? I know I've dropped off the face of the world for a while but hopefully this will also remedy that. So how about it anyone interested? No presents neccesary your presence will be enough (a beer would be nice though heh :)

It's official that Lowes hardware has the worst online application webpage I have ever seen. The fact that it is so much worse than the home depot sight only emphasizes this fact. With home depot you can apply for multiple job positions for every store within an given distance from your home. With lowes you not only need to apply to every store seperately if you wish to apply for multiple job openings you need to fill out another application for each job. What a PITA. It looks like I'll have to go to lowes in person for that one. It will also be a good opportunity to hit up a bunch of places in White marsh.

Well being that the guy from Danfoss (my old job) that was supposed to contact me has been in meetings most of friday and monday I'm going to start looking for other work. I've already put in applications at all of the home depots and loews hardware stores in
the area. I'm also going to be applying to all the autoshops in this area just so that I have somewhere to work while trying to find somewhere better to work as I'm tired of sitting around waiting for opportunity to come along.

I'm also planning on going to the community college around here to check into financial aid and grants. I'm really tired of being out of school and I've had people tell me that it's possible to get enough financial aid that you can live off it working a partime job and not be dead broke. I'm hoping this is the case. Anyone have any experience with this?

Well back to putting in applications online before making my way out and about today.

Have a good day readers ;)
